At Federal Career Placement Services, LC we deliver focused support to our clients and help them create a resume that stands out during all phases of the hiring process. Three critical timelines are involved in this process and our support ensures an applicant obtains every possible advantage for consideration. These involve preparation of the resume itself, the initial hiring panel screening of all applicant submissions, and the selecting panel/official review. We will discuss each throughout our process overview to illustrate the value and decisive advantage we provide to our clients.
Upon receiving a client request for resume building support, FCPS representatives will coordinate one-on-one in private to request all relevant information. We traditionally ask for background information contained within documents such as a current resume [if available], DD 214 for military retirees, recent performance appraisals containing duty description and accomplishments, Veterans Administration paperwork documenting disability determination, university or educational transcripts and other relevant sources. This information is safeguarded with extreme precaution as discussed extensively within our customer privacy policy page.
Once reviewed, FCPS will support the client depending on the type of service requested. Individuals desiring a federal resume for any government agency will receive that in the format requested by the particular agency. For those desiring employment within our targeted Defense Intelligence Community Organization, FCPS will prepare on behalf of the client all relevant portions of an on line job application encompassing steps 1-10 as stated on the Agency Applicant Apply for Job web portal. We will expend up to a maximum of twenty [20] hours supporting limited service, flat rate category clients which has proven to be more than enough time to complete. This effort encompasses the following as noted within Agency preparation procedures.
Step 2. Contact Details
Step 3. Self Identification Details
Step 4. Citizenship/Federal Government Employment
Step 5. Current and Prior Employment. FCPS resume writers provide unique, personal insight for our clients based on years of Organizational experience and preparation of hundreds of resume submissions. This remains the most important and time consuming segment within the resume packet and is referred to extensively during the initial hiring panel screening along with the applicant’s KSA responses.
Step 6. Education
Step 7. Training
Step 8. Honors and Awards
Step 9. Licenses and Certificates
Step 10. Self- Assessed Languages
Responsiveness and mutual support are critical during this process and applies to both the client as well as our professional representatives. Clients shall provide all information necessary for the completion of these steps to ensure that closing date timelines can be met as stated within the Agency Vacancy Announcement or timelines specified in a client request. We will correspond with a client via e-mail or telephonically to request all remaining information not previously provided to ensure the resume is complete. Our resume preparation efforts are accomplished in a manner proven to be well received by Agency Human Resources personnel and Hiring Officials. This enables our clientele to be as competitive as possible.
It is important to note that full service, all-inclusive customers receive continuous resume updating support as part of their 365 day turn-key contract for no additional charge. Clients can simply send additional information or changes to their status and FCPS will revise their resume accordingly.
